Our Story

InsideOUT Social Skills 4 YOUth (IOSS4Y) was created to help counter problematic social issues by providing programs to the youth of underserved families in Collier County.

The idea to develop a social skills program for children came initially from an interaction between our founder and a mom who was concerned that sitting down to dinner as a family, and learning important social skills, doesn’t happen as much as it had in the past.

The program guides kids through the principles of treating self and others with dignity and respect, acting with integrity, and comfortably interacting with people of all ages and social groups. The curriculum includes social skills and etiquette for children.

As a society, social skills are slipping and a trend towards impoliteness, disrespect, sloppiness, and inappropriate aggression are on a short list of behaviors.  Some of the issues our youth face today are bullying, a lack of confidence, increased anxiety, and stress.  In addition, there is an inability to handle conflict, use discretion and be tactful.  InsideOUT Social Skills 4 YOUth is dedicated to help today’s youth tackle these issues at an early age.
